Planning for Success Takes Preparation and Time

Real Estate investors should treat their investment properties just like a business and with every business there needs to be time set aside for planning.  The entire staff of MemphisInvest.com came together last week to present our plans for 2012 and the owners presented our plan to the staff of new programs, new cities, new hires, new promotions and the exact steps we were going to implement to grow over 60% for the second year in a row!  Spending five days together was fantastic for the entire team even though it really shook up our normal routines.  Planning for success and sharing as well as involving the entire team was by far the best thing we could have done to start 2012 with a bang!

Now I'm not going to share with everyone all of the details because some of those details are going to be released as special promotions for all of our clients throughout the year.  What I will tell you is that even our staff members surprised us with their detailed plans for success in 2012.

Building Portfolios One Step At A Time

Several of the staff members at Memphis Invest presented plans to not only build the portfolios of their clients, but they also presented plans to build their own portfolios.  The best part of their plans is that they were planning for success in the 4th quarter next year and not trying to attack a plan for a great January and February.  So many times planning includes short term goals but no clear steps for success throughout the course of the year.  They each presented plans with steps from working with banks in January to have funding in place for the second half of the year, to refinancing properties owned within their IRA's to free up funding for additional purchases later and even positioning savings and other asset accounts to give them the strongest case for qualifying for additional mortgages.  

Each of the plans called for purchasing multiple properties spread out throughout 2012 which absolutely can be achieved with well thought-out steps.  So while they were planning to not only help their clients build their portfolios, they were also planning for their personal success.  There may have even been a few personal milestones they wanted to acheive next year but I'll leave those surprises for them to share.  We were simply excited to see our staff members planning to take the same steps we share with our clients and developing long-term visions.

2012 Will Be A Big Year for Real Estate Investing
