This is it! The end of another year. It’s been a wild ride in all aspects of life. But hey, there have been some pretty incredible things that came out of the real estate world this past year. It’s been an exciting time to be an investor! Not only has it incredible to be a part of our markets in Dallas, Memphis, and Houston, but we’ve enjoyed watching other things unfold and grow, too

One of the things we love to do is read from the many incredible blogs on real estate investment, both old and new. So many great new resources have been flourishing this year!

What makes a real estate blog worth reading?

That’s a pretty subjective question on the surface. It can be pretty subjective, true, but we’d like to believe there’s some sturdy criteria that you can follow when it comes to real estate blogs so you can know what’s worth reading.

How do you avoid getting suckered in by a bad blog? Whether it’s a dead blog, an empty sales pitch, or just plain bad advice, knowing where the good stuff is will save you some precious time and energy, and maybe some costly mistakes.

Real Estate is a diverse industry. It spans generations and numerous iterations, ranging from realtors and developers to buy-and-hold investors and the fix n’ flip crowd. Real estate professionals came from all over  — but not all of them talk about what they’re doing.

While plenty of folks in real estate have reaped the benefits of online marketing through real estate blogs and social media, many still don’t. For those of us who enjoy reading and following the writings of real estate professionals, it can be hard to find those who are both experts in the field and active online.

Do you like keeping up with the latest news, tips and tricks in the real estate investing world?  If you are like me, then you have a subscription to a newspaper, several magazine deliveries and email alerts on real estate news from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Memphis Daily News, Dallas Morning News, Memphis Business Journal, Ft. Worth Star Telegram...o.k., wait.  I get it, very few of you out there are as obsessive as me when it comes to news.  I fully admit to being a magazine hoarder.  I cannot go through an airport without picking up the latest copy of a magazine that I don't have a subscription to.  On a long flight I will pick up four!
